Sous Chef, Events, SW London £35k + paid overtime (average earning £45k)
We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our client’s growing team in London.
This specialist event caterer produces high quality, stunning food for a wide range of events from weddings to events, private parties and occasions. All food prep is done at the production kitchen based in SW London and finished off on location. The food produced is extremely high quality using fresh, seasonal ingredients presented with flair and creativity.
What you will be doing:
* Working alongside a supportive and inspirational Head Chef as part of a close knit team
* Lead and run events when required ensuring everything runs smoothly
* Managing prep and organization for events
* Overseeing agency staff
* Liaising with the Events team as well as clients on events
Basic working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm (prep hours) with anything over this paid as overtime. Weekends are also paid overtime.
What we are looking for:
* An experienced Sous or Senior Chef de Partie with a strong and proven work history within events catering or hotels
* Excellent cookery skills and able to work with fresh seasonal ingredients
* An exceptional eye for detail and presentation
* Good presentation – able to be client facing and liaise with clients of all levels
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* A good work ethic – someone who wants to work and do a good job
* Genuinely passionate about food and ingredients
* Flexible and willing with a positive can do attitude
