Recruiting for a well established airfreight client in Heathrow for a warehouse exports supervisor

Manage the goods received and ensure correct area is used for breakdown; Ensure all product has temperature taken on arrival; Break down product and store at correct temperature; Ensure pallets are labelled correctly; Ensure photos are taken and sent to office team of any damaged product; Ensure Warehouse is kept clean and tidy
X-ray Screening: Operate X-ray scanning equipment to inspect the contents of freight shipments accurately; review X-ray images to identify any anomalies, irregularities, or potential security threats within cargo containers or packages.
Compliance Verification: Ensure that freight shipments comply with all relevant import and export regulations, including customs and security requirements; Verify that the cargo’s documentation matches the visual inspection results and is in compliance with applicable laws.
Safety Procedures: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines when handling potentially hazardous or sensitive materials; report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authorities.; Ensure ALL doors are closed when not in operation as per security protocol.
Reporting and Documentation: Document and report any suspicious or non-compliant cargo to the Warehouse Director; maintain accurate records of all screened shipments, including X-ray images and inspection results. Support the company’s food safety policy by observing good personal hygiene practice and reporting any illness to the Warehouse Director.
Communication: Communicate any security or compliance issues to supervisors or relevant authorities.
Training and Development: Stay current on advancements in X-ray screening technology and freight inspection methods.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine daily checks on X-ray screening equipment to ensure proper functionality; report any equipment malfunctions or issues to maintenance personnel. Support the company’s food safety policy by observing good personal hygiene practice and reporting any illness to the Warehouse Manager.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience operating X-ray screening equipment is preferred.
Forklift trained
Knowledge of customs and security regulations related to freight and cargo.
Attention to detail and the ability to detect irregularities in X-ray images.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
MUST HAVE
Attention to Detail: Precision is paramount in preparing accurate export documentation and ensuring compliance with international regulations. Air Export Clerks must pay meticulous attention to detail to avoid errors and potential delays.
