We are looking to recruit a Sous Chef for our client based in Berkshire to oversee Staff Dining and Hospitality in their high profile site, this will be Monday – Friday 40 hours per week on average.
This is a high volume fast-paced site with multiple outlets from Staff Dining, Coffee Shops, Hospitality, Bar Food and Events. As a company, they only use the best fresh seasonal produce
You will help to lead the brigade of chefs and report directly to the Head Chef and have knowledge of current food trends as well as financials as you will oversee the site in the Head Chefs absence. As part of the role, you will also be required to contribute to further success within the kitchen with the development of both the brigade and of new dishes involving costings and menu planning for all areas.
To be considered as a candidate you will
*Be a passionate Sous Chef with a proven track record within a similar role
*Be up to date with food trends and worked within high volumes
*Have an eye for detail and presentation
*Be able to oversee the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
*Have excellent communication skills
*Be able to work well within a team whilst also helping with the development of the brigade
*Have some understanding of financials
