RECEPTIONIST/PATIENT SERVICES ASSISTANT (FULL-TIME)
Salary: £21,156 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Working hours: Monday to Friday – ability to work across the Practice operating hours, 7.45am to 6.45pm, will be required. Set hours will be agreed prior to starting.

The Receptionist/Patient Services Assistant will be responsible for assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. They will undertake a variety of administrative duties and provide general assistance to support the practice team. They will facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the multi-disciplinary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

Applicants will need, excellent communication/interpersonal and IT/administrative skills and have the ability to work flexibly as part of a team. Accuracy and attention to detail are also essential requirements as is the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a busy environment. Experience of using a patient based clinical system, for example EMIS Web, would be desirable.

Previous experience in general practice is desirable although not essential.
