Packing Operative

We have a dynamic and growing manufacturing company seeking Packing Operatives to join the team based in Bason Bridge, near Highbridge and Bridgwater.

The company is a powder processing facility that create and distribute a wide range of high quality products, including colouring’s, flavourings and savoury powders.

As a Packing Operative, you will be an essential part of the team; working collaboratively to ensure the production, safety and hygiene requirements are met.

Working hours- they operate a 3 shift pattern (weekly rotating)- 6:00am to 2:30pm; 10:00pm to 6:30am & 2:00pm to 10:30pm; Monday to Friday. You must be able to work all shifts.

We offer a competitive rate of £12.73 per hour; with the opportunity for overtime at £18.27 per hour (optional and over 40 hours).

You will be working through an employment agency initially, but will have the opportunity to be taken on permanently after a successful probation period.

To be successful in this role you will need to have your own transport, due to the factory’s location. You will also need to be physically strong and able to handle and move 25kg bags.

As a Packing Operative you will be responsible for packing products into the required packaging and palletising them; completing necessary records and ensuring all areas of the plant and equipment meet the necessary hygiene standards.

When permanent you will also have the opportunity to learn and acquire new skills through in-house training courses.
