We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate GP Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Lifeline Recruitment. If you are passionate about patient care and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, we want to hear from you!

As a preferred supplier to NHS based organisations, we are looking to expand our team of HCA to fill temping sessions provided to us by our extensive client database. These roles are in multiple locations and for multiple different opportunities (hours and days etc.)

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist general practitioners in providing high-quality patient care.
– Conduct preliminary patient assessments, including vital signs measurement and medical history documentation.
– Phlebotomy activities
– Administer injections (including Flu) and assist with wound care.
– Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
– Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and their families.
– Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
– Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements:
– Certification or relevant training as a Healthcare Assistant.
– Previous experience in a similar role within a GP practice or healthcare setting. With ability to use EMIS Web or System One CRM systems.
– Ability to administer Flu jabs.
– Phlebotomy
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Empathy and compassion for patients’ needs and concerns.
– Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently.
– Proficient computer skills for accurate record-keeping.
