Chef Manager, High Wycombe, £45k

We are recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to inspire the catering operation at our clients’ site near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

Catering for a high quality restaurant serving both the public and staff, the kitchen provides a call order breakfast and lunch service as well as a busy afternoon tea. All food is freshly prepared using quality ingredients and produce and customer expectation is high.

As the Chef Manager, you will be
* responsible for the day to day running of the site
* lead, manage and motivate a small team including training and rotas
* creating menus and ensuring food is of a high standard
* financially responsible for the budget, GP and cost control as well as all paperwork/admin

The site is open 7 days a week so working hours are 5/7 days, 40 hours per week (no lates)

Our ideal candidate would have
– proven experience as a Chef Manager or Kitchen Manager within a fresh food, call order kitchen
– exceptional culinary skills
– excellent financial acumen
– strong admin and leadership/management skills
– excellent communication with the ability to liaise with customers and clients
– the ability to think on your feet in a calm, rational manner
– a genuine passion for food, ingredients and customer service
– a friendly and willing approach with a positive, can do attitude
